Kick Start of Three Days Workshop of Managers,
Producers and Reporters/Journalists
The first day of 3 days workshop of Managers, Producers, and reporters/journalists started today. Mr. Najib Ahmed, CEO of Power Radio FM99 welcomed the participants.
Thereafter, Lt. Gen (R) Nadeem Ahmad, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center, National Advisor, CARE for South Asia, Pakistan had a session followed by a detailed presentation on the impact of climate change and its long-term effects on the Pakistani environment. The participants appreciated the facts shared by Lt. Gen (R) Nadeem Ahmad. Later an interactive question/answer session was held and questions of the participants responded.
The next session was conducted by Dr. Hassan Abbas, Environmental Expert, who explained in detail the climate change, environment issues and floods in Pakistan.

The second day of 3 days workshop of Managers, Producers, and reporters/journalists started with a detailed presentation on Climate changes and threats to Indus Delta by Former Federal Minister & SenatorNisar A. Memon, ChairmanWater Environment Forum, Pakistan.
The next session was conducted by Zulfiqar Ali Shah on the Role of Radio during natural calamities. Life-Saving relief activities Importance of public awareness Pre & Post disasters.

The third day of 3 days workshop of Managers, Producers, and reporters/journalists started with a detailed presentation on Project SOVs. Followed by a brief presentation by Mr. Najib Ahmed on constructive journalism.
The closing session was conducted by Dina Sielbeck (DWA) on Climate issues and their coverage in the media
